Interview with Jeff Turner of Real Estate Shows
July 18, 2008
Anyone who has spent any time in the Real Estate Blogosphere (re.net) is very familiar with Jeff Turner. He is a staple of the online real estate community and always willing to lean a helping hand. So when we ask him to answer a few questions for an online interview, he quickly agreed. Below is part one of the interview.
Real Estate Connect With the Blogging Experts in SFO!
June 28, 2008
As a real estate marketing blogger and webmaster for the Crystal Coast Blog, one of the very best ways to gain greater insight in blogs and blogging is to “connect” with other bloggers and learn from them. That’s why I will be joining many other real estate marketing consultants, web marketing experts and real estate bloggers at the Real Estate Connect Conference scheduled for July 22-26 in San Francisco.
Marketing Tips, Breakout Sessions and San Francisco
In addition to the many breakout sessions to attend and one of the biggest benefits from attending this event will be the perfect opportunity to meet those Dakno clients who are coming. Among those that are attending include:
- Joe Manausa, Tallahassee real estate blogger
- Kevin Tomlinson, South Beach real estate blogger
- Scott Patterson, Aventura real estate blogger
So come July 22, I look forward to connecting at the Real Estate Connect.

Real Estate Prospecting – Back To The Basics
June 18, 2008
Contrary to the gloom and doom being spread throughout the real estate industry, real estate sales is rather predictable. This is true in every market cycle, the key is to know what to look for and what to measure.
There are actions that we must take that will create known reactions. Too often, I hear agents talk about market conditions as if the market has the ability to shut down one’s production. Now, I suspect if we went into the great depression, something like that would be possible. But the fact is that a single agent does not have to be affected by market conditions if the agent understands where the business really comes from. It is time to go back to the basics. Read more
8 More Ways to Use Google Search
May 16, 2008
We all know that Google owns the search market. But Google’s simple little search box is much more feature rich than just using it to find websites. With that in mind, I decided to put together a “cheat sheet” of additional ways to use Google search.
A Simple Piece of Software for Real Estate Bloggers
May 3, 2008
Sometimes it’s the simplest applications that are the most effective. And that certainly is the case with a great piece of software that I recently discovered. If you’re an active Blogger than chances are you have run into this situation. You copy and paste text into your blog (such as a quote from another real estate blogger) only to find that the pasted information is a different font, color, or size.
What is Your Blogging Objective?
March 19, 2008
Blogging for Enlightenment
I have been reading the Maverick blog by Mark Cuban recently. If you haven’t had a chance to read his post, I recommend you give it a try. In fact, recently I’ve been reading several blogs authored by C-level corporate types. The variety of topics are both interesting and thought-provoking. Mark (Owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA team) seems to get on his occasional anti-big media rants but always makes his point about blogging in a manner that helps you understand how to build your brand and elevate the perception of your product or service in the eye of the public. His no-holds barred blogging style is both transparent and honest. He has a pretty big ego, but then again, look what (or who) he has to deal with on a day to day basis. Talk about egos – NBA ballers must possess the biggest egos of all. I’m not prone for recommending many blogs but in this case, I say give it try and let me know what you think. Be prepared – it’s different!
