The other day I was reading a very interesting article about success, there was a particular line that caught my attention in that moment, “Success is not always found at school. School isn’t for everyone, as simple as that.” But don’t get confused, success is not for everyone either. There are a lot of stories that tell us that sometimes we have to follow our dreams and take some risks to achieve success.

But what makes a dropout a successful one? well, some of the factors that matter in these cases are:

• Creativity
• Imagination
• Vision
• Innovation
• Will
• and… Faith

As Einstein said: “Imagination is more important than knowledge, For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” Now let’s take a look to some inspirational dropout stories.

William H. Gates III (Microsoft)

Dropped out of: Harvard University in 1975 at age 20.

He represents maybe the most famous dropout of all, why?, simple because he’s also the richest man of the World, at least for now. There are some who can’t understand why a 20 year old student from Harvard University left school in pursuit of a dream that was unachievable for them. With his partner and friend Paul Allen (Also dropped out) founded one of the most successful companies in history, you already know the rest.

Give New Life To Older Posts With AdRotator!

This time I’m going to introduce you a very useful WordPress plugin you probably don’t know, it is called AdRotator. While redesigning this blog, I noticed that i needed an interesting way to promote my previous posts to my new readers, so I found this nice plugin, Adrotator is very simple to use, in fact it takes less than 5 minutes to set it up and the result is amazing, you just have to design nice looking graphic ads, the plugin can be used with AdSense and other kinds of advertising, but I prefer to use it with my own ads.

First of all download the plugin and upload it to your plugins directory, activate it and that’s it just paste a simple script in the sidebar or wherever you want the ads to appear, design your ads and upload them to your directory, after that just design each ad , I prefer to use the same size for all of them, as you can see in my sidebar, they are all of the same size. Now the most important part is the txt file that will locate and deliver the ads, take a look to the complete instructions. I hope you enjoy it, make the most of it, and if you want you can use it to generate some dollars from it, just use your imagination!

The Lounge Season 2.0!

At Last! Welcome to the new version of The Lounge Season 2.0! This is the new face of Blogger Lounge , it is more sophisticated and versatile, it has more features and more space. After 2 months I wanted to give this blog a new image, so far everything has been great so I wanted to continue with the same trend. First of all and one of the most important changes is the new brand.

Completely New Identity

The first thing in my mind was a rebranding, why? because I noticed some gaps in the design of the layout and of the brand, that’s it. So I redesign the logo of Blogger Lounge, using almost the same colors of the original brand.

As you can see the logo maintains the same glossy style, but the soft curve lines in the 3 corners represent a dynamic style. Also the orange tones are more visible and clear in the new identity. The Tagline of the Lounge has changed too, if you remember it was:

“Blogger Lounge | be successful, be creative, be great …be yourself”

Ok, it was a good one, but I thought that with a simplier line everything will be much better, so the new tag line is:

“Blogger Lounge | Success Matters.”

As simple as that.

Other new features

The layout. The new theme is a brand new original design, by me. Now I decided to add an extra sidebar to increase visibility and space, with this new sidebar, I can order my blog elements in a nicer an cleaner way.

I also redesign the Navigation bar, it is now a “Tab style” which makes everything easier.

Another new feature is the Footer, I improved it’s design and I added some commands and special characteristics like a search field, a subscription link, “Top Posts” section and “Recent Posts” section, it has also enough space for advertising.

How Much Would You Pay For a Domain With a Technorati Rank Under The Top 10,000?

Ok, I’m not talking about this domain, I’m not planning to sell it, so don’t worry, The Lounge still has a long way to go. I just wondered how the domain sales business works.

I read Mitch Harper’s blog the other night (Harpzon.com, he must sold it already because it’s no longer available) anyway I noticed that a few days ago, he decided to put on sale his domain, the initial bid was $5,000 which sounds quite reasonable to me considering he has a good PageRank and a nice Technorati Rank, well that’s why I wondered how much money can you really make from a deal like this?, just by selling the domain, not the whole blog, I mean if you decide to sell your domain right now, with your current TR , how much would you ask for? or better yet, also let us know how much would you pay for a domain with a TR under the Top 10,000 , please tell us why.

I’m not talking about those ugly domains we all know, like for example: igoldmoney.com or dollars-make-me-happy.net ,no!, I’m talking about premium and creative domains (like ours 🙂 ) the kind of domains that everyone will remember and the kind of domains others would like to use. Please help me with this and share your knowledge and opinion with others, thanks!

New WordPress Theme. St-Style 1.0!

Hi everyone! Guess what?! I have a new WordPress theme! I call it St-Style!, why? I really don’t know why! : ) . Anyway, I know you expect something different than just WP theme, but believe me, this is just part of a strategy, I’ll be posting very interesting articles soon, just be patient. Well now let’s talk about this new theme, it has a nice design with a perfect combination of red, green and black, 2 colums, and some nice gradients. Well someone said that it was not working in IE6 , but it works fine in IE7 and Firefox, for those who still have IE6, just let me tell you one thing,.. get a new browser now! I’m just kidding. Really, this is nice looking theme, thanks to my sponsors too. Hi everyone! New WordPress Theme. iLv.Milk 1.0!

This is my newest theme for WordPress, I cal it iLv.Milk, and it is a very clean and simple design , it is one of those themes everybody likes!. It’s been a while since I released my other theme, which has been downloaded more than 455 times.
